BASED ON A TRUE STORY
“I discovered hip/hop in Nairobi, Kenya in the early 90’s . Shortly I moved to New York in the early 00’s . I was creative and passionate because I had to communicate through music. Growing up in New York I learned how to speak American English by watching the movie “Beverly Hills Cop” and episodes of “The Fresh Prince of Bel Air ” an American sitcom that originally aired on NBC. I made friends easily with a Brooklyn rapper known as Dutchy Fresh who later introduced me to the music group from Washington Heights, uptown New York known as Suspectz.
Luxury Player and Dutchy
“We met by chance and we clicked. I told him I was a rapper and invited him to my home studio. During that time all I had was a Korg Triton keyboard, Mpc beat-maker and a microphone” Say’s Luxury Player. Dutchy taught him how to structure rap songs and later he perfected his craft by working together with Suspectz.
I always wanted to explore new frontiers and push boundaries.
“I continued on the path and stayed on my lane, my vision was to travel around the world, sample and fuse various sounds and communicate artistically and touch people globally. My mission has always been to provide quality entertainment through good music and lifestyle. For me, the challenge of writing a song that is different from all the others, and then delivering that song to my fans is worth it”-Luxury Player.
